NEWSFILE pounds 3m for library computers

LIBRARIES are to get pounds 3 million to buy computers to turnthem into "street corner universities", Arts Minister Alan Howarthannounced today. The Wolfson Foundation and the Government have setup a fund to which libraries can apply for grants tobuy computers toput them on the Internet.
